About the Role:

 
Role: Project Associate for Project BookPecker Haiti

Tenure: Two months

What you will do?

  • Create teaching material and high-impact academic modules.

  • Design topic area-specific presentations targeting middle- and high-school students.

  • Conduct sessions for middle- and high-school students on various subject areas.

  • Translate existing academic modules from English to French.

  • Research and collate curriculum-specific content and pedagogies.

  • Ascertain consistency in content structure, linguistic elements, and design language for the content you create.

  • Advocate for educational equity and initiatives aiming for it, including Project BookPecker.

Who are we looking for?

  • Pursuing/completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in any field 

  • Be above 18 years old at the time of application

  • Be available for a part-time, remote opportunity.

  • Be available to commit at least 12-15 voluntary hours per week.

  • Have self-sufficient access to internet connectivity and the relevant technological infrastructure (laptop, mobile, etc).

What skills you will need?

  • Proficiency in English and French.

  • Drafting, editing, and proofreading content.

  • Comprehend, ideate, and teach about different topic areas.

  • A suitable command of word processing tools (MS Word, Google Docs, etc.) and presentation software (MS Powerpoint, Google Slides, etc.).

  • Certificate from the Ministry of National Education and PeaceX upon successful completion of your tenure.

  • Letter of Recommendation from the Ministry of Education and PeaceX (subject to performance).

* The Training session will be conducted by Teachers and Academicians with years of experience in the education sector. Workshops on Child psychology, Teaching methods, subject specific discussions, etc. will be held during the fellowship and certificates will be given for the same.
