The Akshar Programe provided an opportunity for students to accelerate their learning and dive into a world of knowledge beyond their classroom books. It empowered students with the mindset to understand and engage with vital topics which go beyond conventional education like innovation, financial literacy, sustainability, mental health, legal rights, and more…while being awarded a super-cool certificate showcasing their awesomeness!

Organised by PeaceX’s Project BookPecker (a member organisation of the United Nations Environment Programme Major Group on Children and Youth) it was a four-day skill development and capacity-building initiative for students from class 7-12th (Age  10-16). The program was conducted from September 27-October 1, 2021 for the students of Kaithal, India.

The focus was on skill development and experiential learning, allowing students to interact with global leaders and learn from them. The content was curated by teachers and student volunteers from eminent institutes of the US, the UK, South Korea, etc.  Volunteers from Harvard University, King’s College London, Cambridge University, University of Delhi and other eminent educational institutions helped in content creation, and many of them took the sessions during this four-day program.
