Whether you're working your way through school, studying for your undergraduate degree or spending some time off to volunteer, the PeaceX Winter Internship Program is a thrilling, enriching way to get practical work experience, hone your versatility in a professional setting, rub your shoulders with the upcoming leaders in the meadows of social impact, and do meaningful work. The Winter Internship Program welcomes those interested in content development, graphic designing, social media and literacy project development.

As a member organisation of the United Nations Environment Programme Major Group on Children and Youth, the PeaceX family, hailing from 119+ countries, works towards achieving the ideals of peace and sustainability by brainstorming vibrant policy ideas and incubating community-rooted endeavours to counter and correct contemporary plights. With our Winter Internship Program, we aim to meet and work with dynamic, ingenious individuals who are interested in implementing social interventions, effectuating research projects, fostering grassroots-level social entrepreneurship and undertaking advocacy campaigns with PeaceX.

Job Profile: Content Development- Winter Intern

 

Duration: Two months

Commitment: Work-from-home, Part-time (12-15 hours per week)

Job Description:

  1. Ideate and pen vivid, informative and captivative personal write-ups on a host of topics related to sustainability, peace, international relations, policy and so on. 

  2. Proofread and edit guest blog entries.

  3. Prepare well-structured template email drafts for a range of purposes.

  4. Formulate content for complementary usage in graphics and videos.

  5. Prepare content for social media publication purposes.

  6. Ascertain consistency in linguistic elements like tone, lexicon usage, style and jargon employment, and in stylistic elements like page layout, font sizes, font styles and visual aids.

  7. Ideate content development strategies and coordinate with the specific departments.

Skills Required:

  1. Content Development

  2. Research

  3. Editing and proofreading

Eligibility:

  1. Suitable experience as a content developer, editor, copywriter or a similar role.

  2. A vigorous command of any word processing software (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, etc.).

  3. A complete professional to native linguistic fluency in English, Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish. Ability to create content in one or more of the aforementioned languages.

  4. Familiarity with think tank blog sites and innovative social media content.

  5. Usable knowledge of research-based publications.

  6. A vivacity to design and implement content development strategies.

Job Profile: Live Project Development Intern

Project BookPecker is a trailblazing grassroots project by PeaceX which aims to expand the frontiers of literacy across socio-economic divisions by rethinking pre-primary and primary-level pedagogy. 

Duration: Two months

Commitment: Work-from-home, Part-time (12-15 hours per week)

Job Description: 

  1. Ideate enhancements to curriculum with the mentorship of ace pedagogues, curriculum specialists, and career educators.

  2. Compose educational modules with a team by researching apt content, formulating interactive coursework and articulating instructor-targeted best practices.

  3. Create audiovisual curriculum modules (videos, graphics, and so on) explaining subjects’ topic areas.

  4. Assist in the development of a repository of educational videos and handbooks.

  5. Engage with the program beneficiaries in the capacity of an assistant instructor or evaluator.

  6. Formulate interactive instructional methods, exercises and activities for different mediums. 

  7. Receive training from collaborators for teaching and curriculum development.

 

Eligibility: 

  1. A fiery zeal to work towards the enhancement of the education sector and reach the most marginalized. 

  2. Potential and inclination to learn how to research and articulate content related to curriculum while incorporating student-friendly practices.

  3. Competence in drafting content and proofreading.

  4. A suitable command of word processing tools (MS Word, Google Docs, etc.).

  5. Ability to comprehend and teach topic areas in the pre-primary and primary level of education.

  6. A basic understanding of illustration and designing techniques and tools.

  7. Proficiency in English.

  8. Great interpersonal skills.

  9. Experience in the field of education in the capacity of a teacher, assistant instructor or an administrative position is a giant plus!

Job Profile: Social Media (Designing + Marketing)- Winter Intern

Duration: Two months

 

Commitment: Work-from-home, Part-time (12-15 hours per week)

 

Job Description:​

  1. Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.

  2. Develop illustrations, designs, animations, infographics and posters.

  3. Test graphics across various media.

  4. Develop Social Media Engagement and Traffic.

  5. Optimisation of Digital Marketing Tools.

  6. Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.

  7. Ensure design language and brand voice consistency across work.

Skills Required (any of the following):​

  1. Graphic Designing

  2. Animation

  3. Video Editing

 

Eligibility:​

  1. Reasonable graphic designing experience.

  2. A strong portfolio of illustrations/graphics.

  3. Familiarity with design software and technologies.

  4. A keen eye for aesthetics and design details.

  5. Good communication skills.

  6. Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.

  7. Coursework in Design, Fine Arts or any related field is a plus
